Why do I need endodontic treatment?

Endodontic treatment is necessary to save a tooth that has suffered pulp damage. This can occur due to bacteria, decay, deep restorations, fractures, etc. The procedure that preserves the diseased pulp tissue is known as endodontic therapy.

Do I need to inform you about my medications?

Yes, please write down the names of all medications or supplements that you may be taking. Consider everything: Vitamins, over the counter Rx’s, etc. If easier, please bring in your medications.

How many visits will I need to make?

Endodontic treatment is normally completed in one visit, but it may require up to two or more visits to complete treatment

How soon after diagnosis should I undergo procedure?

To avoid further serious tooth damage and even tooth loss endodontic therapy should be initiated as soon as a diagnosis has been made.

Should I bring insurance information?

We suggest you bring any/all insurance cards and photo ID.

Will I have any discomfort after the procedure?
